DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL AGRA www.dps.ac.in DPS:Ag:P:0051/10-11 11-08-10 CLASSES VI, VII, IX & XIDear Parent, The School in collaboration with “YOUREKA”, the outdoor division of iDiscoveri, shall be conducting a 7-day outdoor learning-cum-adventure programme which shall focus on building new skills and strengthening character and personality. It will be unfolding a sequence of individual / group tasks & nature based challenges followed by personal / group reflections and sharing. A safe environment has been designed in natural settings where children will be building self confidence, realizing self worth, overcoming fears, understanding elements of group dynamics and leadership and manifesting innate potential with “I CAN” and “I WILL” attitudes. We will run 2 separate programmes - one for boys and the other for girls simultaneously to 'CAMP GREEN RIVER VALLEY (TIRTHAN)' and 'CAMP PINEWOOD CLIFF (SITLAKHET)' respectively from 7th October to 13th October'10. The cost of participation in each of the camps will be Rs. 8720/-. The activities in both the camps will include ROCK CLIMBING, RIVERSIDE BACKPACKING and OUTDOOR SURVIVAL SKILLS. Participants shall leave Agra on 7th October'10, post lunch by bus till Delhi and board respective trains for their destinations (Detailed travel plan shall be enclosed with the registration form). If your ward wishes to participate in the adventure-cum-learning trip, kindly return the acknowledgement with an Account Payee Cheque or Demand Draft favouring "Youreka Outbound Services Pvt. Ltd”. Please write the name of your ward and mention his/her class and section on the reverse of the cheque/draft. The last date to collect & return the registration form with cheque/DD at City Office is 17th August’10. Please note that the tour may be called off if there is a low response for the same. The tour shall focus on building leadership qualities and understanding group dynamics. Please find the details of the programme enclosed with this notice. The cost of the trip will be Rs. 5775/-(Travel by III AC Sleeper Coach). Participants shall leave Agra on 7th October'10 post lunch.(detailed travel plan is enclosed with the Programme.) If your ward wishes to participate in the excursion, kindly return the acknowledgement with an Account Payee Cheque or Demand Draft favouring ‘ Cox & Kings (India Ltd.)", payable at Delhi through your ward to his/her class teacher on or before 4th September'10. Please remember it is important to get your valued consent by 4/09/10 as the reservation of the train tickets need to be done at the earliest, October being the peak holidays season. Please write the name of your ward and mention his/her class and section on the reverse of the cheque/draft. However, the tour may be called off if there is a low response for the same. Note:-Giving consent to send your ward for the trip will NOT imply automatic selection of your ward for the same. The school reserves the right to select or express regret regarding the participation of any student in the trip.
