At DPS , education is a partnership between home and school. We embrace
the participation of parents in the education of their children Parents
are encouraged to voice their opinions and concerns and the school is
committed to ensure the success of the partnership. There are a variety of
productive ways in which parents may join the school, either on a regular
basis or just occasionally, providing the best possible education to their
children . These visits to our campuses can gel into helping in a
classroom, joining with other parents to organize and participate in
special school events or work on student oriented projects. DPS Agra is
based on the belief that honing a child is perhaps the biggest
responsibility for all of us in order to build a great nation. In school ,
the teacher is a parent. At home , the parents are teachers and the child
is in the centre of our universe. The onus lies on us to make them aware
about the changing trends and innovations. Parent's Orientation Programs
are a regular feature of DPS Agra . Parent's Day is when they live and
enjoy the child in them. These special days are celebrated to salute the
spirit of parenthood resulting in meaningful interaction with teachers
and thereby take active part in their child's learning activities.
Parent Teacher Meetings are held twice in a year & are occasions for
parents to meet the class teacher including subject teachers and get a
detailed report on the performance of their wards. Apart from this, the
parents can meet the teachers once a week (Wednesday in the Senior Campus
and Thursday in the Junior Campus). These meetings strengthen the bondage
between the students , parents & Teachers.
DPS Agra is known for its close relationship between the teacher and the
child . In this relationship , the child is allowed and in fact ,
encouraged to express his/her feelings freely . The teacher then responds
and guides the child , keeping in view the individual characteristics of
the child. Individual attention is given to each child so that the best in
him is brought forth.
